UCCA is a Christian day-school ministry of the Calvary Baptist Church of Buckhannon, WV.  Generally, we offer a traditional instructional program for grades K5-12 (Certain grade levels are offered each year while others may not be, depending on the status of our reenrolling students).  Our attendance for the 2010-11school year was 7.  Our  current student/teacher ratio averages 4:1.  Our school performs well above the national average each spring on the Stanford Achiement Test.

 

Our purpose:  UCCA exists solely for the purpose of carrying out the Great Commission to the church as given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20.  Calvary Baptist Church believes we are to

           "...make disciples"  and  "teach them to observe all things"

that Christ has taught us in His Word, The Bible.  Special attention is given to building Christ-like character in our students.

 

UCCA's curriculum is designed by Christian publishers and is Bible-based in every area of instruction.  Currently we use the Bob Jones DVD program for the entire school. Our high school promotes a college preparatory track of instruction; however, students with alternate goals and needs may enroll in the vocational studies track.

 

 

The financial information for the current school year is as follows:

    Enrollment/re-enrollment-   $30.00 per student annually

    Books/DVD/materials rental fees- $300.00 per student annually

    Annual Tuition (may be paid in 9 monthly payments, Sept.-May)

            $1350.00 each for the 1st and 2nd students in the family

            $  675.00 each for the 3rd +  student in family

We only enroll junior-high and high school students who have attended our elementary school for a minimum of two years or who are transferring to our area as students in good standing from another Christian school.

 

We are located on Rt. 151 (old Rt. 33) approx. 2 miles east of Buckhannon between Upper Childers Run and Kesling Mill Roads.

 

Attendance at UCCA is a privilege, not a right:  we will gladly accept applications from families who support our instructional views and behavior policies.
